Restaurant Funding

Merchant cash advances for restaurants and food service businesses.

Payroll, inventory, equipment, or a second location — get $10K to $2M with a same-day decision and no restaurant-specific red tape.

Overview

What restaurant owners use funding for.

Restaurants live and die by cash flow. A walk-in cooler fails on a Friday, a supplier raises prices, or a slow month lands right before your busiest season. Workable Funding underwrites on your daily sales, not your industry code, so restaurant owners get a straight answer fast.

  • Covering payroll during slow weeks or seasonal dips
  • Buying inventory and locking in bulk supplier pricing
  • Replacing ovens, coolers, fryers, and POS systems
  • Renovating the dining room or building out a patio
  • Opening a second location or a ghost-kitchen line
  • Funding local marketing, delivery apps, and catering launches
Why Workable

Why restaurants choose Workable Funding.

We understand food-service cash flow

Daily receipts, credit card batches, and seasonal swings are normal to us — they don't disqualify you.

Decisions the same day

Send three months of bank statements in the morning and get a real answer before dinner service.

One funding desk

We underwrite and manage the transaction through our own desk, with clear terms and one Workable relationship.

Flexible repayment

Repayment moves with your sales, which helps during slower weeks after the holidays.

Credit challenges are okay

A 500+ personal FICO is enough. We weigh revenue far more heavily than credit score.

Funding from $10K to $2M

Whether it's a single equipment replacement or a full build-out, the range fits.

How restaurants use revenue-based funding

Restaurants live on thin margins and violent swings. A walk-in compressor fails on a Friday, a slow February follows a strong December, a landlord asks for a renewal deposit, or a second location becomes available and has to be signed this month. Very little of that fits a bank's timeline, and almost none of it fits a restaurant's collateral profile — kitchen equipment depreciates fast and leases are rarely assignable.

Revenue-based funding is built around card and cash deposits instead. We read three months of business bank statements and look at total deposits, how steady they are week to week, your average daily balance, and whether other funders are already taking daily payments. A strong summer and a soft winter is normal seasonality, not a red flag, and our underwriters price it as such.

Because payments are a fixed daily or weekly debit rather than a share of each ticket, you can plan around them exactly the way you plan food cost and labor. Most restaurant advances we write sit between $15,000 and $150,000 on terms of six to twelve months, funded within one to two business days of approval.

Where restaurants get into trouble is stacking advances during a slow season and then carrying four daily payments into the next one. We check existing positions before making an offer, and if the deposits only support a smaller amount, we will say so rather than write a deal that damages the business.

What a $40,000 advance looks like for a restaurant

A single-location restaurant averaging $95,000 a month in deposits replaces a walk-in cooler and refreshes the dining room before the summer season.

1.38 is a common middle rate, not a floor or a cap — your rate is set from your own file — deposits, time in business, and existing positions all move it. This is an illustration, not a quote — use the funding calculator for your own numbers.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can a restaurant with bad credit get funded?

+

Yes. We approve restaurants with personal FICO scores as low as 500. Your monthly revenue and deposit consistency matter far more than your credit score.

How fast can a restaurant get funded?

+

Most restaurant owners get a decision the same day they apply, with funds typically within 48 to 72 hours of approval.

Do you fund new restaurants?

+

We require at least six months in business. If your restaurant is newer, reapply once you hit the six-month mark.

What documents do you need from a restaurant?

+

A one-page application and your three most recent business bank statements. No tax returns or business plans required.

Do you fund bars, cafes, food trucks, and caterers?

+

Yes. Any food-service business with a business checking account and $15K or more in monthly revenue can apply.
